Perfect

What a great week, wind everyday, back on a speed board and caught my boy’s first jump on camera. It’s been so long since I used a speed board I had to do more than dust it off, spiders had taken up residence in its foot straps. The week started and ended at Point Clear and both in great conditions, though it was Southend and Tide Mills that really made my week.

Southend wasn’t all time conditions as it was holding a little chop on the upper course but take a look at the video and you’ll see what potential the eastern course has, its so flat and I couldn’t help get drawn down to it for a sail with my boy.

 

 

Reece’s windsurfing is getting better so thought it was time to leave the flat water behind and find something a little more challenging, Trevor Funnel called to say Tide Mills was perfect and with the tide looking right it would also be a good introduction to waves for Reece.

We’ll his water starting might not be as slick as you’d like for the shore break but somehow he managed to keep out of trouble. I would like to say the best two moments were a bit more deliberate but I caught his first jump from my mast mount and then we caught what must have been the wave of the day together. Did I say my luck had run out… I don’t think so J
