Hero to Hero

14/11/2010

While Ant Baker’s windsurfing academy brought us here it was Craig who took centre stage as Maui’s windsurfing community came together to make a young boys dream a reality. From a simple meal with the biggest names in the business, chilling in there homes or simply watching then on the water, it seemed impossible to beat, that was until he Craig joined his hero on the water.

Everyone seemed to be leaving the island, many we’re heading off to Cabo Verde while Robby Naish had a last minute kite shoot to do before heading off to Europe for the Naish importers meeting. But rather than dishing out genuine excuses everyone to a man dropped there plans to meet up with Craig.

Robby Naish not only topped of Craig’s list of hero’s but stepped up to the plate like no other could, sure he came down to the beach and after putting on a bit of a show on the water invited Craig out to join him. Once back on the beach they had time to chat and before we knew it the kite shoot was off and Craig was back out on the water.

There was no way anyone was going to top that water experience so Craig took to my lens and I have to say he’s certainly got an eye for the job and was quick enough to catch the best pix I’ve had of me sailing, so guess who’s my number one hero and photographer.
