A Touch of Guilt

21/09/2010

Finally made it home for more than a day and the kids are making me feel guilty and that's not just my own. To be fair they are supportive of my trips but that doesn't stop them making me squirm by dropping a few digs into the conversation "Dad's been on holiday, opps I mean working", but its not just my kids I feel guilty for.

I recently went round a few lakes starting out at West Kirby and if I'm honest I think the trip was more inspiring for me than them but I did promise to send them a bunch of pix once they'd been in the mag. We'll better late than never and they are now in the post but while they wait for them all when I could add a selection here.

Being home has also given me time to think another plan through which is also another source of amusement for my kids, my windsurfing van. I'll confess its been more than just a van to me, having everything rigged and ready to go is a luxury I've become attached to, so a decision to make a change hasn't come easily but pressure has come from all sides, the wife wants more space on the drive and a friend wants to buy it so I figured I'd better do the negotiations before I arrive home to find it gone and she's had a great day shopping in town. So what to buy, big question and one I still haven't sorted but its kind of fun looking.
