Getting Flash

24/05/2010

After last weekends light wind in Wales it was off to Ireland to what looked like a repeat performance, sure it never lived up to the legendary Dingle bay that we’ve come to expect but at least luck ran with us long enough to separate winners from losers. No if you’re expecting to see a gallery of windsurfing shots you’ll have to forgive me, I needed to get myself out of the shit.

My son Aaron’s school team had won the right to play Colchester United’s new stadium and guess who couldn’t make it. With the ash making its self felt I had to drop the flight and get behind the wheel, though once back home I needed to make a mends.

Thankfully that’s easy, I just have to sit behind the lens for a while which is handy as it gives me a chance to try new angles and having used the flash to fill in the shadows I took the idea on our family picnic the following day.

Yes its that time of year when nothing must keep me away, two years ago I had to cut a trip short and fly half way round the globe just to make the last hours, but at least I was there.
