With my van off the road I had to borrow another to pack it full of Boards we’re testing, doing it in the UK isn’t the easiest and having my van off the road doesn’t help but this is the best way to test them in so many different conditions. After last weeks torrential conditions in the choppy waters off Mersea Island I couldn’t wait to find a wave.
The Wittering was out next port of call, starting off in the west for the morning and seeing the sun go down from east wittering gave us a great mix of conditions, but it was the following day that really made my week.
Kimmeridge has so many different conditions, most head down there for the ledges or the bench, but get it right and inside the bay can provide the most fun of all. Jumping, riding and all that with big expanses of plat water in between and today was one of those days.
Arriving early we had the place to our selves for a few hours, k-bay seems to be more popular these days and it was good to see so many guys chasing down the conditions, many said it was there first time, and what a time to pick. The only thing that broke me was not being able to stay for the following day.
November always arrives with a banger on the barbeque and a few lights in the sky, this week we had a double issue with out traditional November 5th at the Brumpton’s and another for Nikyboys 40th, though I’ve always wondered why we have to wait until our 40’s before those horrendous pictures from our childhood appear, but with Nik being a looker I’ll only put those easier on the eye at the end of this lot.
