Flashback

01/09/2009

Not sure if this a flashback to Cornwall or it just because I haven’t been to Wales for years, but hell it’s raining again. Up until the last couple of weeks I thought the country was in the midst of a heat wave. My garden’s burnt to death and is in desperate need of rain, but travelling around has given me a different view with lush green grass everywhere.

At least it’s good to appreciate home, again this week was fully sunny and a couple of those days it blew like hell, so why did I drive another seven hours just to be sitting under another cloud.

I’ve been talking with Jim from Puravida for a while about having a look around West Wales for a Home Break article. As timing would have it his demo weekend was timed perfectly for the windy if wet bank holiday weekend.

Having missed the Saturday it was no surprise to be greeted with “should have been here yesterday” at least this time they weren’t referring to the wind. The sun of yesterday had been replaced by misty grey sky’s that just wouldn’t let up, I probably got just as wet behind the lens as I did out on the water.

While the wind forecast is looking perfect for the next couple of day’s, I’m hoping to see a return to sunnier conditions, don’t really want to title my home breaks with “Getting Wet in Wales”.
