Didn’t think I’d ever say it, but thankfully windfinder got the forecast wrong and we ended up with three days on the water. Not all fully planning but those like moments were fine the kite while the real stuff was left for windsurfing. I’m up to try most sports but sometimes there comes a time when you really need to step away to save a few in injuries.
I needed to get a few more pictures for the coming article in boards just needed a few extra sunny beaches and it seemed like a good excuse to profit from windfinder’s inaccuracy. We through the kit into Nikey boys van to make the quick round trip and headed off just before 6 AM.
Once inland it’s so easy to make that fatal mistake in turn round just because you don’t see the trees bending, but I’ve made so many trips whereof wanted to turn around but some reason just kept pushing on to be rewarded with a day of perfect site sure winds.
Can’t say is that perfect as it started off looking like we should have turn round, but once the pictures were done the wind filled in just enough to entice is on the water, it’s amazing how quickly time passes, before we knew it we were already late five hours a past and we should have left an hour ago.
It really feels like summers on its way, wind at the weekend, blue skies, out with your mates, all it needed was a barbecue. With my 25th wedding anniversary next week I was pushing it asking for the latter, but that’s not a problem as I think we’re set along hot summer.
I’m up for trying most things and have the injuries to prove it, but sometimes you just have to step away, seeing this lad on the greensward land kiting was just one of those perfect moments to keep on walking. Take a look at the last few pictures, I’ve done this and got it wrong on water and I can tell you’re it hurts, forgot no idea how bad it would be on the land, this kids nuts.
