Time seems to have flown past since we moved in last December, and while we still have a list of jobs waiting to be done, it’s our first project that has been the most successful. I’d gathered my gym contents over the previous years, but being confined to a small shed they spent just as much time gathering dust as they did keeping me fit.
It’s not easy to keep the motivation for the gym going, but combining it with my office has kept in the foreground of my thoughts. But having the room to have others round is the key to its sustained use, today we have around fifteen friends coming round to keep the wheels turning, not only a pleasure to see, but motivating.
As much as I planned, you never get it right, this week I’ve been making some changes to create more room inside and a board rack on the out side. The board rack was more from pressure from the wife to tidy up the garden, while the extra room in the gym gave me space for more ideas.
Always thought I could use the gym as a small photo studio. Sounds a bit grand, but you know what I mean, get a few pix of the family etc. While I’ve still got a lot to sort out before I get that all together, I did get a nice pic of Reece and our dog Ruffles down at the beach.
Looking back at this time last year, we may have ended up with a couple of windless weeks, but boy, it was a lot warmer. We seem to be stuck in an ice age, they are even calling a possible snowfall again this week; I’m just trying to remember what a south westerly feels like. On the positive side, there’s no better weather for wanting to stay in the warmth of the gym.
